Where to eat in Malo-les-Bains

Our favourite addresses, tried and tested, just a few minutes' walk from the apartment.

On the seafront, our favourites

For a proper meal

The choice of restaurants on the seafront is huge, we wouldn't discourage you from any of them, but here are our personal favourites.

Rest'O Soleil Le Roi de la Moule (mussels and fries) Malo Beach Crêperie Bretonne O'Safran (just past the Kursaal)
A lighter option

Breakfast & sharing platters

Café L'Espadrille serves a very good full breakfast facing the sea. For lovely sharing platters, Cactus Café and Red Rock Café offer similarly priced set menus.

For meat lovers

Latina

Avenue Faidherbe, a 300-metre walk. Their speciality is smoked meat, you won't be disappointed.

Grab and go

Friterie Zaza

Place Paul Asseman, next to the casino and opposite the swimming pool. For a relaxed fries-and-burger break with a view of the town.

Vegetarian & vegan

Our three favourite finds

The vast majority of restaurants in Malo offer at least one vegetarian dish on their menu, so you'll have no trouble finding something you like wherever you go. For food that's vegan from start to finish, here are three addresses:

My Malo 🌱On the Malo-les-Bains seafront. A genuine vegetarian menu alongside mussels and Northern specialities, plus fresh poke bowls. Two sea-facing terraces on sunny days.
Beyrouth Bay Malo 🧆On the seafront, Tuesday to Sunday lunchtime. Authentic Lebanese cuisine, hot and cold mezze and grills, naturally rich in vegetarian and vegan options.
Un Pied dans l'Eau 🥞A 7-minute walk from the apartment. A generous, warm crêperie, with vegetarian and vegan options clearly marked on the menu.
